Definition:

Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy is an autosomal muscular dystrophy that is characterized by a collection of rare muscle disorders.


Treatment:

Special exercise and physical therapy is administered on persons with Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy. Calipers may also be used to keep mobile support on the patient.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms of the disease include muscle weakness, extereme muscle pain. cardiomyopathy, myotonia, and elevated serum CK.


Causes:

Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy is hereditary disease, and the result of this defect is that the muscles are unable to process proteins for proper muscle function.
