Definition:
Lipodystrophy is a condition where abnormalities in the body's adipose tissue begin to develop.
Symptoms and Signs:
The condition may be in a form of a lump or dent in a person's skin after being a spot for syringe injections. It is not really held as a disease, but continuous usage of the same skin area for injections may result to resistance of the body to the drugs injected to it.
Causes:
Lipodystrophy is caused by continous injections, antiretroviral durgs due to lipid redistribution, or can also be inherited.
