Definition:
Hepatic veno-occlusive disease is a condition in which some of the veins in the liver are blocked. It is sometimes due to a complication of high-dose chemotherapy undergone by a patient prior to a bone marrow transplant.
Symptoms and Signs:
Patients with Heptic veno-occlusive disease shows signs of increased weight, enlarged liver, and increased blood levels of bilirubin.
