Definition:
The Pacman syndrome is categorized as a rare syndrome that is characterized by the abnormal development of the bone that primarily affects the long bones as well lower spine of the patient.
Symptoms and Signs:
The list of clinical signs and symptoms associated with Pacman syndrome include short head and hand bones, stillbirth, infant death, short limbs and abnormally short stature. Some patients who are lucky enough to live suffer from heart defects and flat vertebrae.
Causes:
Up to this day, the primary cause of Pacman's syndrome is still largely unknown. Some medical experts believe it is a genetic ailment passed on from parent to child through a mutation gene.
