Definition:

Vagabond disease is a condition of pigmentation of the skin caused by long continued exposure, uncleanliness, and especially by scratch marks and other lesions due to the presence of body lice.


Symptoms and Signs:

Clincial features of the disease include skin abrasions or excoriations and abnormal skin discoloration on the affected site.


Causes:

Vagabond's disease is caused by Phthirus pubis or crab louse and characterized by subcutaneous hemorrhages.
