Type 5 Xeroderma pigmentosum or the Xeroderma pigmentosum group E is a subtype of the Xeroderma pigmentosum where the variation in the gene involved is the DDB2 located at the 11p12-p11. This type only difference to the rest of the types of the disorder as well as to the Xeroderma pigmentosum itself is the gene variation involved and its location. Treatment as well as the symptoms are the same.
