Definition:
Yunis-Varon syndrome is a congenital disorder that affects the skeletal system, ectodermal tissue, and cardiorespiratory systems.
Symptoms and Signs:
Patients have retarded growth before and after birth, their skull bones have defective growth, complete or incomplete shoulder blades, and characteristic facial features. They may also have finger or toe abnormalities. Affected infants often have respiratory difficulties, heart defects, and sever feeding problems.
Causes:
Yunis-Varon syndrome is genetically inherited.
