Norovirus Infections is an infection cause by noroviruses. The infection is an intestinal flu-like illness where it usually occurs in enclosed places such as the hospitals and nursing homes.
Diagnosis:
Confirmation of the presence of the infection due to norovirus may be known through identifying the virus under the microscope and through a Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction Test or the RT-PCR assay test.
Treatment:
There is no treatment particularly made for the norovirus infection but treatment focus more on the cure for the effects of the infections such as replacement of fluids and electrolytes due to diarrhea.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms of the Norovirus infection includes nausea, abdominal cramps and pain, diarrhea, sudden weight of loss, malaise and fever.
Causes:
It is said to be caused by the norovirus which is a contagious virus which easily transmitted through body fluids.
