Septicemia is a medical condition that refers to the presence of the bacteria in the blood and is most commonly connected with other severe diseases.

Diagnosis is made through physical examination, blood culture, urine culture test, CBC, platelet count and by examination of blood gases.
Treatment:
Treatment includes administration of fluids, oxygen and antibiotics to treat infection and administration of plasma to correct any blood clotting.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms includes fever, chilling and hypothermia, rapid breathing,low blood pressure, blood clotting, and occurrence of red spots on the skin.
Causes:
Septicemia is said to be caused by an infections in the body like the lungs, the urinary tract including the bone and the central nervous system as in the case of meningitis.
