Definition:

Shoulder Arthritis is a medical condition that is characterized by the excessive pain in the shoulder due to the grinding of the bones against each other due to the absence of cartilage.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made through physical examination of the patient as well as undergoing imaging tests such as X-ray or MRI.


Treatment:

Treatment of shoulder arthritis focus more on alleviating the pain experience by the person through administration of over the counter pain relievers. Undergoing Cryotherapy and surgery in extreme cases are also used to treat the medical condition.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms includes pain in the shoulder, severe weakness and stiffness of the shoulder.


Causes:

Shoulder Arthritis is said to be caused by the grinding of the bone against each other due to the absence of hyaline articular cartilage which prevents friction at the joints.
