Definition:
Thymus cancer is a type of cancer that usually affects the small organ in the upper chest just below the breast bone known as the thymus.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made through the use of CBC Count, blood tests and imaging examinations such as MRI, Ct San and ultrasonography.
Treatment:
Treatment includes surgery to remove the tumor, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms usually includes coughing that remains even after medication, pain in the chest, difficulty in breathing, weakness and sudden weight loss.
Causes:
It is said to be caused by mutations of gene in the thymus gland.
