Varicocele
Definition:

Varicocele is a medical condition where there is an enlargement of the veins in the scrotum which drains the testicles.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made through ultrasoundm doppler ultrasound, blood tests and other imaging tests such as MRI, CT Scan.


Treatment:

Treatment includes the use of scrotal support and surgery called varicocelectomy to vorrect the varicocele in some cases.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms includes aching pain in the scrotum, feeling of heaviness of the testicles, infertility, atropy amd enlarged veins.


Causes:

It is said to be caused by the defect or damage to the valves withing the veins that is located in the spermatic cord which results into backflow of blood leading to the damage of the testicular tissue.
