Definition:
Iridocorneal endothelial syndrome is a disorder affecting the cornea of the eye. It is characterized by the decay of the corneal cells resulting to swelling, destruction of the iris and pupil, and limited passage of light into the eye. This disease is associated with Chandler’s syndrome, iris atrophy and Cogan disease.
