Definition:
Paranasal sinus cancer is a rare form of cancer that affects the paranasal sinuses. This condition is characterized by chronic blocking of sinuses resulting to difficulty in breathing.
Diagnosis:
The cancer can be diagnosed by radiography, CT scan, X-ray and MRI.
Treatment:
Paranasal sinus cancer is treated by radiotherapy as well as surgery to unclog the mucous linings that cause breathing and speech difficulties.
Symptoms and Signs:
Among the symptoms of paranasal sinus cancer is pain behind the teeth and nose, swelling, double vision, headaches, persistent nosebleeds and speech problems.
