Definition:

Vitamin D Overdose is the medical condition where there is an excessive ingestion of Vitamin D which may cause abnormal calcium metabolism.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made through physical examination and review of medical history of the patient. Blood test may also be required.


Treatment:

Treatment includes withholding of vitamin D intake.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms includes excessive calcium absorption, calcification, urinary stones and muscle cramps and pain.


Causes:

It is said to be cause by over consumption of Vitamin D.
