Definition:
Vitamin K Deficiency is a medical condition where there is not enough consumption of Vitamin K which is an essential lipid-soluble vitamin that usually plays a vital role in the production of the coagulation of proteins.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made through physical examination and elevated serum PT tests.
Treatment:
Treatment includes increasing consumption of food that is rich in vitamin D, consultations with a gastroenteritis and hematologist to correct the symptoms and changing diet that must include green leafy vegetables, olive oil, soybean which are rich in vitamin K.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms includes weakness, dizziness and susceptibility to chronic illnesses.
Causes:
It is said to be caused by the low consumption of Vitamin D.
