Definition:

Womb cancer, or cancer of the uterus, is a slow-growing cancer that may affect a woman's ability to get pregnant. It is easily detected and can be treated immediately once diagnosed.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is done by radiograph studies, MRI and studying the symptoms given by the patient.


Treatment:

Treatment for the cancer includes surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, depending on how the cancer is spread.


Symptoms and Signs:

Women with womb cancer usually suffer from vaginal bleeding, pain and discomfort during intercourse, as well as pain while urinating.


Causes:

The exact causes of the cancer are unknown, but risk factors meanwhile include obesity, exposure to harmful substances, use of contraceptives and hormonal disorders.
