Acute Pancreatitis
Definition:

Acute Pancreatitis is a medical condition whereby there is an inflammation of the pancreas.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made through physical examination and undergoing series of tests such as blood tests.


Treatment:

Treatment includes administration of Intravenous fluids and antibiotics


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms of Acute pancreatitis includes pain in the absomen, nausea, occurrence of grey turner sighs or the discoloration of the flanks, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, chilling, shock, sudden weight loss and loss of appetite.


Causes:

It is said to be caused by gallstones, alcohol consumption, trauma, autoimmune diseases, trauma, steroids, scorpion stings and idiopathic.
