Definition:
Ayerza's disease, also known as pulmonary hypertension, is a rare disorder that involves the lungs and the pulmonary artery. In this condition, the pulmonary artery becomes pressured thus it is unable to deliver sufficient oxygen to the heart's right ventricle where the lungs pick up oxygen. Exhaustion of the right ventricle may lead to a right-side heart failure, resulting to death.
