Lattice Dystrophy
Definition:

Lattice dystrophy is a medical condition wherein abnormal fibers build up in a specific part of the eye’s anterior stroma.


Diagnosis:

Lattice dystrophy can be diagnosed by eye examinations.


Treatment:

Treatment for the illness can be done by eye drops, ointments and surgical transplant of the cornea.


Symptoms and Signs:

Among the symptoms of the disease are lattice-like deposits in the eye, as well as reduced or blurred vision.


Causes:

Lattice dystrophy is caused by an enzymatic defect that produces abnormal protein fibers to form growths in the eye.
