Heart block
Definition:

Heart block is a disease that affects the heart's electrical system. Signal from the upper to the lower chambers of the heart do not transmit. There are 3 degrees of heart block: first degree, second degree, and third, which is complete heart block.

Diagnosis:

.

Treatment:

A permanent pacemaker implant can relieve heart block. Mainly because the disorder causes irregular heart rhythm, the pacemaker helps the individual's heart beat regularly and consistently.

Symptoms and Signs:

Bradycardia, the condition of slow heart rhythm, occurs in sufferers of heart block. Symptoms include chest pain or pressure, fatigue, palpitations, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, dizziness, and fainting. If the sufferers are children, they may have a difficulty describing their symptoms although they do have trouble keeping up with other children and will want to sit down to rest.

Causes:

Congenital defects may cause heart block, although it can also occur as a result of heart attack or myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, and other forms of heart disease. Heart block is common in younger persons although it also affects older people.
