The African swine fever is a condition that affects bushpigs, warthogs and domestic pigs, which results in death in several days.
Symptoms and Signs:
The ASFV causes a lethal hemorrhagic disease in pigs. Symptoms include fever, convulsions, skin lesions and death in to weeks, usually with young animals.
Causes:
The African swine fever virus (ASFV), a DNA virus that replicates the cytoplasm of the infected cells, causes this condition.
