Definition:
Convulsions is a medical term used to refer to a condition whereby the person's body shakes uncontrollably and in a fast manner due to the muscles continuous contraction and relaxation.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis include physical examination and observation of symptoms as they manifests.
Treatment:
Convulsions may be caused by brain tumor, choking, drug abuse, illness of the brain, epilepsy, electric shock, malignant hypertension, heat illness, meningitis, heart disease, injury in the brain, poisoning, stroke, low blood sugar, uremia, venomous bites and sting or toxemia.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms include the following, to wit: sudden falling, drooling, grunting and snorting, stopping of breathing for a moment, uncontrollable muscle spasms including jerking and twitching of the limbs, teeth clenching, eye movements, sudden anger, laughter and vertigo.
