Dermatitis Herpetiformis
Definition:

Dermatitis Herpetiformis of Duhring's Disease is a medical term used to refer to the skin disorder that is associated with the celiac disease and is usually itchy rashes that consists of papules and vesicles.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made through physical examination and biopsy of the skin through the use of immunofluorescence test of the skin.


Treatment:

Treatment includes adminsitration of antibiotic like Dapsone and adhering to a gluten-free diet.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms of Dermatitis includes occurrence of vesicles on the elbows, knees, back and buttocks, patches of red skin and blisters including occurrence of rashes that are usually itchy amd dryness of the skin.


Causes:

It is said to be caused by sensitivity of the intestines to gluten in the diet
