Definition:
Alcock’s syndrome is a condition where the penis suffers from temporary insensitivity. This is caused by the pressure of the prudenal nerve situated at the Alcock canal.
Diagnosis:
The condition can be observed via medical imaging such as sonography of the abdomen, testes and prostate.
Treatment:
No treatment is needed to cure the disorder.
Symptoms and Signs:
The most common symptom of this disease is the penis’ insensitivity during sexual contact. This insensitivity is just temporary and causes no further harm.
Causes:
The condition can be caused by traumatic nerve lesions in the penis due to past neurological or vascular illnesses.
