Diabetic Eye Disease
Definition:

Diabetic Eye Disease or Diabetic Retinopathy is a disease that is caused by the damaged done by the diabetes condition to the blood vessels in the retina which is a light sensitive tissue at the back of the eye that translates light into impulses that the brain interpret as a vision.


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made by eye examination.


Treatment:

Treatment includes laser surgery and treatments may also be used to seal the leaking blood vessels.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms includes blurring of vision and tearing.


Causes:

Diabetic Eye Disease or Retinopathy is caused by the uncontrolled sugar levels which causes damage to the small blood vessels in the retina which later may be blocked and causes sports of lood.
