Definition:
Ear ache is the medical condition where a person suffers a sharp and burning sensations in the ear.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made through physical examination of the ear, mastoid, nose, throat and tenderness and redness of the mastoid.
Treatment:
Treatment includes application of cold pack, application of prescription drops such as Aurulgan and over the counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms includes pain in the ear, loss of hearing, infection in the ear, fever, fussiness, increased tearing and irritability.
Causes:
It is said to be caused by the buildup of fluid and pressure in the middle ear which is connected to the nasal passages by the Eustachian tube that allows the normal fluids to drain out of the middle ear.
Such condition is said to be caused by allergy and cold.
