Edentulism
Definition:

Edentulism is a medical condition characterized by absence of teeth.


Diagnosis:

It is diagnosed through examination by dentists and undergoing dental x-ray.


Treatment:

There is no known treatment for edentulism though wearing of false teeth may be advised by dentist.


Symptoms and Signs:

It is manifested by having tooth loss which may be partial or partial edentulism or complete edentulism.


Causes:

It is said to be caused by tooth extraction and periodontal disease.
