Definition:
Endocrine Pancreatic Cancer is the cancer of the pancreas. It is characterized by having tumor in the hormone producing cells such as islet cells. It includes insulinomas, glucagonomas and gastrinomas.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made through blood testing, barium test and undergoing imaging test such as CT Scan, MRI including undergoing biopsy.
Treatment:
Treatment includes undergoing chemotherapy and surgical removal of the tumors.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms includes nausea, fever, diabetus mellitus, jaundice, ileus, abdominal pain, sudden weight loss, anorexia and ascites.
Causes:
It is said to be cause by tumors growing in the islet cells.
