Definition:
Endometrial hyperplasia is a medical condition that is characterized by the occurrence of too much growth in the lining of the uterus.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made through undergoing dilation and curettage, ultrasound and biopsy of the endometrium.
Treatment:
Treatments includes hormonal therapy, progesterone therapy and hysterectomy in some cases.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms includes abnormal vaginal bleeding.
Causes:
It is said to be caused by high level of estrogen accompanied by insufficient levels of progesterone like hormones which usually counteract proliferative effects of the estrogen in the tissue.
