Definition:
The most common type of bladder cancer that affects cats is called TCC, which is short for transitional cell carcinoma. This type of carcinoma arises from the epithelial cells that line the bladder. However, cats could also suffer from adenocarcino, rhabdomyosarcoma and squamous cell carcinoma, but are rare.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made by an ultrasound or x-ray. A definitive diagnosis can also be helpful in ruling out other possible conditions related to the symptoms.

There is no known cause for bladder cancer in cats. Causes of this condition may include numerous factors, which are developed over time.
