Camelpox
Definition:

Camelpox, as its name suggest, is a disease that affects camels. This condition could infect the hands of camel drivers when in contact.


Symptoms and Signs:

Camelpox causes generalized infection and skin lesions. In young camels, this disease can be fatal, accounting to more than 25% of all camelpox cases. However, adult camels with this condition usually experience mild symptoms.


Causes:

This disease is caused by a virus from the Poxviridae family and Orthopoxvirus genus.
