Definition:
Campylobacter Food Poisoning is a disease caused by a the bacteria named Campylobacter which usually spread through the body's blood stream. It is usually characterized by having bloody diarrhea.
Diagnosis:
Diagnosis is made through physical examination and laboratory test of the stool of the patient to be looked into for possible presence of the bacteria.
Treatment:
Treatment for Campylobacter Food Poisoning is made through focusing more on the symptoms as they manifest. Oral administration of antibiotics such as fluoroquinolone and erythromycin may also be used to lessen the occurrence of diarrhea.
Symptoms and Signs:
Symptoms for Campylobacter food poisoning includes having bloody diarrhea,convulsions, cramps and pain in the abdomen, nausea, vomiting and fever that lasts for more than one week.
Causes:
Campylobacter Food Poisoning is said to be caused by a bacteria named Campylobacter which usually thrive in the intestines of unhealthy birds. Eating contaminated meat and raw foods and dairy products containing the bacteria is the mode of infesting human.
