Chemical Pneumonia
Definition:

Chemical Pneumonia is a medical condition that refers to the unusual form of irritation of the lungs where there is inflammation of the lung tissue that is caused by a poison or bacteria..


Diagnosis:

Diagnosis is made through physical examination and undergoing blood tests, measuring of temperature, blood pressure and oxygen in the blood.


Treatment:

Treatment includes measurement of blood pressure, increasing level of oxygen in the body, administration of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications, pain medications, artificial breathing, antibiotic, IV fluids and antidotes.


Symptoms and Signs:

Symptoms include burning of the nose, lips, mouth and throat, coughing, nausea, pain in the abdomen, chest pain, shortness of breathing, flu-like symptoms, weakness, delirium, rapid pulse, hoarse voice, excessive sweating, altering thinking and reasoning skills and headache.


Causes:

Chemical Pneumonia is a said to be caused by the inflammation of the tissues due to poisons and toxins which may be acquired through inhaling, ingesting toxic materials and fumes.
