Once upon a time my brother met with accident. but that incident which had happened to my brother was not know to any one in my family. after that i got one call from my brothers friend that he met with accident, so me alone went to hospital . at that time no one was there in my home so me alone went with more fear. when i went to hospital doctor said that we want to admit him in emergency ward. i dont know what to do. i called every one through mobile no one attended. i cried a lot because of fear. at last my uncle only came farward to help me at that time. really at that time i was helpless. that day night only my father came after hearing this news. then after one month i got my brother back at the normal stage.
I was in middle school and i was riding the bus home one day, like very other day. I was a sixth grader so I was forced to sit in the front of the bus against my will, and many of the older kids were playing around in the back of the bus. They found some crayons and started to break them and throw them around the bus. I was huge Sally Jesse Raphael glasses so I figured my eyes were safe. I was wrong. A crayon came around the side and hit me right in the eye. It burst a blood vessel in my eye. I was in the emergency room and they decided that nothing was really wrong and it would heal over time, just like an outside wound. I did have a pretty cool story to tell everyone and a bloody eye to show.

I had problems with pre-term labor, which began with my first pregnancy. I had to spend a total of two weeks in the hospital during that pregnancy. My midwife told me that any pregnancies after that would probably mean I'd have a longer stay in the hospital. During my second pregnancy, I was advised to stay in the hospital during my seventh month. I ended up staying there for a whole month. It was very difficult because I had a young child at home. At the beginning of my eigth month,I was allowed to go home, but was only home for three weeks before I was told I had to go back. So, I was back in the hospital for another week and then my child was born. I was only 9 months pregnant, so it was a pre-term birth. He ended up being flown to a hospital where he was admitted to the N.I.C.U. for three days due to breathing problems. When he improved, he was moved to the pediatric wing for four days. Due to all of their incredible treatments for him, he improved so much that he passed all of his tests and was allowed to come home with me. That was a very stressful time for me, and I decided that it was the last pregnancy that I would have because I didn't want to got through that ever again. The only interesting part of any of it for me was that I was flown to the hospital in a helicopter with each pregnancy. I had always liked helicopters, but had said that that wasn't the way I had wanted to experience flying in one.

When I was a small girl, I had a cycle. When I was going to the school a jeep was hit me and I was lying on the road. The front left wheel of the jeep has run over the cycle. I was obviously thrown off my bycycle, when the jeep hit it. The driver of the jeep was robably trying to avoid hitting the car. If the driver had been more careful, the accident would not be occured. Suddenly somebody was coming there and admitted me the nearest hospital.

I have had a Pituitary Tumor removed on September 11, 2001 at 8:30 in the morning. I am doing fine now. I also have severe sleep apnea, hearing loss(which I now wear hearing aids), I have had cataract surgery in both eyes due to taking prednisone after the tumor surgery. In my life, I have also had three miscarriages, nose surgery(two times), and knee surgery. I have a big file at the doctor's office and my physician calls me a unique case.

i spent christmas week in hospital 4 years ago. i wasn't feeling good for day. went into a coma and taken by ambulance to hospital. was in coma for 3 days. Turned out i was now diabetic2. i had been to cleveland clinic 2 months before this having all types of tests but never told i was diabetic until this happened 2 months later. I wondered why i was taking bottles of water where ever i went. this explained it.

Life puts you at crossroads in seconds. I have had a tough time doing hospital duty rounbd the corner attending to my father in law who went to coma within seconds of a tragic road accident. He had a severe brain injusy which did serious damage to his frontal lobes. Thanks to the good doctors . After two major brain surgeries, he survived. He is back doing his won chores. But personality has changed significantly. Brain damage has craeted a new man- whom his family members cannot relate to or recognise. But still everybody is trying hard because he has survived. The body and the face are the same.

"I was in the U.S. Air Force, and I was stationed in Florida. One Saturday, I got the wild idea to participate in a German tradition called a Volksmarch. Being young and arrogant, I decided that I did not need to wear sunscreen as I was wearing jeans, walking boots, and a long-sleeved shirt. I also decided in advance, that I would get a drink when I completed the hike.
The Volksmarch was only 3 miles, but the temprature had already climbed to 94F, and I completed the Volksmarch. When I went up to collect my ""badge"" for completing the trek in less than an hour, I blacked out and fell down right in front of 12 people.
The next thing I knew, I was in a hospital bed. I had sun poisoning, and dehydration. I was in the hospital for just under 24 hours before they released me back to my base.
So, when this next summer comes, don't be silly - protect yourself! Wear sunscreen at least 30SPF or higher, and take along more water than you would drink yourself, you never know if you are going to helping someone else!"

"When I was twelve years old I was playing tetherball at my grade school when the ball hit my finger very hard and I thought it was broken. My mother had to come get me early from school to get an x-ray of the finger, which was now swollen and purple, however what the doctor found surprised us all. The bone of my middle finger was hollowed out by a tumor. The doctor said that if I had not not came in when I did I could have easily hit it on something and collapsed the bone; however the news was not all good. I had to have a surgery and my parents were extremely emotional and they would not tell me why.
My surgery had no complications and I healed quickly, however I asked me parents why they had been so upset and they informed me that the doctor thought I had had bone cancer in my finger; he thought they were going to have to amputate. I'm so happy that everything went well!"

I remember I had been pretty much fed up with all my doctors and somehow this would be the day that everything would be completely different. Today I was going to that one doctor that I thought would make a difference. The only thing that happened that day was that I left in tears. I told the lady Dr. C that I was fed up and had been so tired of all the medications and all the specialists that I felt that I had no choice but to find someone new. I was tired of feeling like no one listened and that one cared. I thought that the more I talked that maybe that one person make it all better. The only thing that happened that day was that she felt I was depressed and that I needed anti-depressants. She completely fuming and pretty much did everything to call me anything short of an idiot...in doctor terms. The only amount of good she did was give me a stupid flu shot. I walked away angry and the tears stung my eyes, my throat, and blurred my way out of that office. I didn't know who this woman thought she was. I vowed that I would never return and prayed that if I did get to see her again that I wouldn't plow her down with my car.

I had slipped on a wet spot on the floor of a popular retailer the day before I decided I needed to go to the hospital emergency room for a full diagnosis. I went to Willis Knighton in Bossier, LA. I had been to that hospital several times before for regular mammograms, and once to the emergency room for stitches in my badly lacerated thumb. I had a job and medical insurance, so I didn’t expect to have any problems. After extorting $100 from me; which had not happened when I needed stitches, I was left to wait for almost 10 hours until they finally, grudgingly agreed to scan my back. They seemed surprised to discover that I really had a compression fracture of the L1 vertebra. Apparently they had assumed that I was just drug seeking and thought I would go away if they ignored me for long enough. Since I has used the hospital before and had no history of drug seeking, I was flabbergasted. Needless to say, I won’t be going back there the next time I need help.

I was playing softball with a team that had recruited me. I really didn't know any of them very well.
In the first inning I got up to bat and began running to first base.
Halfway there, I felt the most horrible pain coming from my top thigh. I hopped to the base and could barely talk because of the pain. I managed to say to my coach "Get a runner for me." I hopped to the dugout and laid down on the bench and actually passed out from the pain. When I awoke, I got up and hopped on one leg to my car and drove myself to the emergency room. When I got there I couldn't get out of the car. A guy in the parking lot saw me and came over to my car, picked me up and carried me inside. I had torn the muscle on the top of my right thigh. It was most painful!

My freshman year started off with me on crutches, a boot, stitches and a broken toe. One night I was putting up my favorite mashed potatoes that were in an acrylic bowl. The bowl fell upside down onto the middle of my big toe nail. I fell in excruciating pain, followed by a hospital visit. In the morning, the nail was about 3 cm above where it was supposed to be; all because pressure was building up. The doctor proceeded to alleviate the pressure by sticking a needle in my toe nail. This made my toe feel better until I walked out of the doctor's office. The pain was too great that I had to rush to the nearest podiatrist, which happened to be in the same building. He had to take my nail off and apply stitches because my bone was trying to push through my nail. I was in stitches and a boot for a few weeks. The day I was allowed to go back to my water polo practice I ended up slicing my toe open by some metal hanging from the door.Sadly, I had to get more stitches. To this day I have been battling with my toe problem; anything from ingrown toenails to the nail falling off. My advice to anyone reading this is to never break your toe.

"In 2007 I started to get back pain, always on the left side and a little bit above the kidney.
It came and went. When it was there it was a strong and dull kind of pain.
No painkillers helped, exercise didn't help, resting didn't help.
My general physician thought it's a pulled muscle, I doubted that. It felt different.
I asked her to check the kidney but she said kidney problems wouldn't hurt in that o
cation, but lower.
And anyway, blood values and urine analysis were all fine, including kidney values.
Next, my orthopedist thought it's the spine. Again I doubted the diagnosis.
One day in 2008 I went to see my gynecologist, and she sent me to do an ultrasound, just for a check-up.
The radiologist discovered that my left kidney looked enlarged, and recommended a CT scan.
Well, the CT scan revealed a large tumor on my kidney!
It turned out to be as big as an orange and it had destroyed most of my kidney, only 25% was act
ually still identifiable as kidney, and that part wasn't even functioning properly. No wonder I had pain!
The good news was that it was a benign tumor, a so called angiomyolipoma.
Why did nothing show up in the blood and urine screening?
Because my right kidney was doing all the work, so everything appeared normal.
So finally I went to see a nephrologist, and he explained that an angiomyolipoma of this size had a 60% chance of rupturing, and when that happened I could bleed to death internally. The only solution was to remove the tumor together with the small part of kidney. This was done in April 2008 via laparoscopy, through a 3 inch incision in my lower left abdomen. I was 6 days in hospital, and since I recovered never have had pain on the left side again.
The wrong diagnoses by my general physician and orthopedist could have been fatal,
so always follow your intuition and choose to do more tests when the diagnosis isn't convincing you."
I am 13 years old an on october 11 I broke both my ulna and my radius in half they healedd nicely butt on may 13 i fractured muy radius in a different spot it is now august third and my parents say my bone is still weak they wont even let me ride a bike are they right. *************************************
When I was 39 years old I began having trouble getting up if I knelt down.
I thought "Boy, am I getting old!" I thought I needed to start working out and taking better care of myself.
At the time, I was working for a physician.
One day he came into the office and told me he had made an appointment for me at a neurologist office.
I couldn't imagine why. I really didn't think there was anything wrong with me.
There was no arguing with him so the next day I went to the appointment thinking it was a total waste of time.
Well, as it turned out it was not! I was diagnosed with a neuromuscular disease called myasthenia gravis and within the next year I was hospitalized over 12 times, ventilated once, had thymectomy surgery and my life would never be the same! Not only did my life change due to my physical condition, it changed because my husband couldn't handle my physical condition and left. But I am thankful that over 10 years have passed and although I still have a great deal of trouble with my disease, I am alive to tell about it! *************************************
Anyone who's ever tested positive for an MRSA infection will know what I'm talking about here.
I'm curious to know when if ever, you can be declared free of this dreaded superbug?
The standard procedure seems to be to aim for three consecutive negative screening swabs.
Is this really enough to give you the green light for all-clear?
Or does a requisite time-frame have to elapse before a recurrence/repeat

I was in the hospital before 7 years as I fractured my left leg. After some days a doctor along with some medical students came near my bed.The bandage was removed. The doctor asked me to move my leg,I couldn't do it he kept on repeating it and the students were curiously looking at my legs.I felt really bad and asked in my local language what did he say? In September of 2003 I found myself to be on top of the world as I just delivered my first 7 pound healty baby girl. Feeling on top of the world, happy and full of joy I returned to my doctor in which all women know they tend to do rechecks to issue you are fine and that your baby is doing fine. After recieving a few test I was called with the news that they have found a small portion of cancer (cervical) and requested I should return in the a.m. I found myself a nervous wreck returning the following morning when I recieved the news that as of that day I would only have a 50/50 chance of ever concieving again. Well, I am proud to say as of April of 2007, I gave birth to yet another beautiful healty baby girl. This story is for those of you whom may think that some things will or can never happen, I am here to tell you that yes they can and yes they will if only you can believe in yourself and those things in which you shall dream of. *************************************
On a routine yearly medical exam, my doctor found that I had precancer of the cervix. I was only 34 years old and it was quite a shock. The doctor said they wanted to operate within a week and remove all the cancer cells, meaning I would have to get a hysterectomy. That meant I could not have any more children. I was fortunate in having great doctors and I was up and around within 3 days. I did worry for several years that the cancer would return. But it has been over 20 years now and I am very healthy. *************************************

"Watching Meg suffer was too much for her mother.
Helen decided to find out as much as she could about brain tumours on the internet.
When she read about Professor Black and his work at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital, it offered the first ray of hope.
His hospital is one of ten in America with the resources and expertise to perform MR-guided brain surgery.
But before making a final decision, Meg was referred for a second opinion to London's National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery - one of Britain's leading centres. It was November 2008 when I suffered from Chicken pox, a viral disease and I am 29 years age. Rashes throughout my body. I was on a contract job for a company. It needed 2 months leave for me to recover. All these two months were not the best days in my life, except I didn't have to work. Chicken pox is a communicable disease. Fortunately my mom who was taking care me, didn't get it. Not too much chemotherapy. But I did follow doctor's advice. The rashes through out my body disappeared within 6 months of recovery. One good thing is that, if we get affected once, our body develops immunity against the virus and it never comes back in our life again. My job contract was also gone ! *************************************
"Last year, I realized that I was suffering from Kidney Stones. Though the doctors felt that the stones were small and would pass out naturally, it wasn't the case. In 2-3 months, my condition had become very unpredictable, with pangs of pain every now and then. I would go into a business meeting, only to leave it half-way. I was put on strong medication to keep me going.
Finally, it was decided that I need to be operated - a procedure called ureteroscopy. The operation is carried under general anesthesia. So, I got myself admitted to a hospital.
The medical team briefed me a lot about the procedure, complications etc. Finally, they put me on the table and the doctor put on an oxygen mask on my and asked to breathe deeply. It smelled funny and I felt that there was some elements of anesthesia mixed with the oxygen. Next, they injected me with anesthesia in my arms. My arms felt heavy, I couldn't move them. My legs started to twitch as if I life was going out of me. And then, silence.
I woke up to realize that the operation had gone well and I was officially stone-free! But, overall, the anesthesia showed me what death might feel like.

"When I have completed my degree, I got an opportunity to go to Andhra parades for a work. After three months ,I suffered with sever stomach ache and fever. That time I don't have any relatives there. I informed about my situation to my family who are there in Kerala. When they got that information they worried more .I admitted in one of the small hospital, because I don’t have that much money along with me. I asked help from my friends, they are also helped me as much they can. Immediately I known about one of my elder sisters (nun) appointed in a nunnery. When I heard that information I jumped with happy and I informed about my condition to her, but she has some limitations to help me by financially, yet she asked help from one of church priests and he helped for my medical expense. Then I shifted to one of the famous Hospital. They diagnosed me well ,but they couldn’t find any disease for me.
There is no improvement in my condition,. My parents prayed for me ,after two months only they diagnosed my condition that was nothing else ,but Kidney stone. When they detected that, they treated me well and I re covered from my illness

"I still remember what happened that day, was a very hectic monday after a long weekend. The roads were almost empty as if people are still in the holiday mood. I was crossing the road after checking it was safe to cross. There was a divider in between, and I was trying to cross the divider. Suddenly i was thrown off the road, not knowing what happened. It took me a minute or so to realize that i was hit by an auto. My spects had broken and one of my sandals was missing, not sure where is fell.
It was very hard to get up, suddenly i realized that i am not able to move my left hand. I touched the hand and felt immense pain touching the hand. I was rushed to hospital. Thanks to the guy on the road who took all the pain to take me to the hospital. After scanning, I came to know that my left hand was broken and need to be operated. Everything went on fine.
It took me more than 2months to recover. This happend 2 years back, but i still feel as it it was a day before." *************************************

" Once in my school life,I fell down and went to unconscious state.
The reason found is that I had fever and I was sent out of school to home.
My father took me to a hospital. They put an injection and gave some tablets.
We came back buying some bread.I ate some bread with tablets and went to bed.
I had more vomiting sensation and I took vomit that time.
Then, next day I took leave.I was normal the day after that day.
So,I am sent to school the next day.I felt high fever and I came back to house again. Our family doctor requested to take a blood test and bring a report. We went to a town nearby and took blood test and came back that night. The next morning I felt high fever and I was shocked to see my urine in bloody yellow color and my eyes look yellow. Then my father guess that it may be a jaundice. The report next day also said it is jaundice.
I thought that I won't be alive anymore and felt sad.My grand father came to our house and said that there was a herbal medicine in a far town and he would buy it for me that day. Then only hope came for me.After eating it for two weeks, I was cured. This is one of the medical tragedy in my life." *************************************
When I was 11, I went on the annual ski trip to Vermont with my family.
This year, though I decided I wanted to learn how to snowboard, since I had been skiing my whole life.
My brother and dad signed up as well, and we took a lesson together.
Things were going okay, and I was getting the hang of moving around the flat area of the snow mountain,
so the next day our lesson was a little more challenging and we tried real slopes.
We got on the chairlift, and when it was time to get off of it, I landed my snowboard on the snow incorrectly and fell forward onto my hands, twisting my wrist and embarrassing myself!
I ended up spraining my wrist and I had to wear a splint - and the injury happened not while I was snowboarding, but as I got off the chairlift! What a bummer.

"My father, an agriculturist, was the sole bread winner of our family of 7 members and we were leading our life with a very financial discipline which has completely collapsed
whn my father faced some problems while taking foods in medical terms, a simple oesophageal obstruction.
Initially, we were unable to trace out the problem and when it persisted, we had consulted a doctor, who in turn indicated that this may be a signal for advanced cancer problem.
In India, there is no pre-cancer detection facilities or people not aware of that and hence we had come to know about the disease only after its final stage. Anyway, he was operated for Carcinoma Oesophagus and post operatively,
he developed complications and during hospitalization, the tube which helped to pass foods to the stomach has been penetrated inside the stomach and my father underwent urgent second surgical procedure
another trauma in our life - which ultimately led to the sudden demise of our dear father when he was at the age of only 62. It took around 10 more valuable years to forget this
episode and thereupon to maintain a good life without our father.
I think we should have a more set up to know about the reasons/treatments for cancer all over the world and at least after 35 years a routine prevention check up facility has to be provided.
Anyway, most important is to make people aware of the consequences of this disease, treatment available (sugery, Radiotherapy or chemotherapy, or even symptomatic treatment in last stage,
facilities for terminal patients, precaution if any to be taken, side effects of radiotherapy/chemoherapy, exclusive treatment centres all over the world like Mayo Clinic in USA, St. Hopkins Institute,
Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, Thakurpukur Hospital in Calcutta, etc.,"

I have MS. About a year and a half ago, the dr thought that I was having a bout of optic nuritus so he put me on steroids and after two rounds I was not better. A full month course of the steroids. He finally decided to check farther to see what was causing my symptoms, what he found was my retina had fully detached itself, about 6 weeks prior. I was sent in for emergency surgery, although its turned out to be by far too little too late. I now suffer from permant vision loss, all because I do have MS. So they just went with the easy diagnosis and didn't bother to check for anything else, not until it was too late anyways. *************************************

She was in pain so they gave her a pain pill in the emergency room. When the resident came to tell her about the doctor who'd perform the surgery, my sistes and I were interested in finding out his credentials. "My first blood donation
I never really thought deeply about donating blood earlier. Until one day when suddenly in my college through our National service scheme, a person contacted our class for people who might be interested to donate blood that day as it was urgent. And me and my friend rose up to that occasion and went along with that guy to a private hospital some 60Kms away from my residence. upon reaching while filling the form I noticed it had a column like whether you had contracted malaria any time. And when I pointed out that question to the sister there and told her that I had Malaria almost 12 years back, she said that I can't donate blood citing reasons of antibodies of my body causing problems with the patients body. or something like that, which at that time I didn't understand.
But after 5 years I had to rethink about donating blood again since this time it was very urgent for one of my friends relative. And first I thought I may not be able to donate blood because of malaria, then I researched on Internet, and I came to know only if you had malaria recently for eg: 1/2 years back you shouldn't donate blood; otherwise it is perfectly alright to do so.
so I went ahead confident and also filled this time the correct form which specifically asked whether I had malaria 2 years back and I filled No and went ahead and had the divine feeling like I did something good for someone.
though it was not my blood group the relative of my friend wanted, It was Blood banks policy to replace a blood taken with another. So I went ahead with my decision. Though later I came to know that relative died of some other complications of the disease he was suffering from, I am not deterred from my blood donation next time. Just waiting for my 3 months time frame to get completed so that I can donate again.
Donate blood save a life. It doesn't harm you in any way, it's naturally replenished. Nothing to loose. Please overcome your hesitation or fear and donate blood. " *************************************
I've lymphedema in my right leg. My leg started swelling when i was 12 yrs old and because of my very little concentration towards my leg, the swelling increased much after i gave birth to my child. I referred the internet and found a hospital in Kerala, India for ayurvedic+ homeopathy treatment. I had a counselling and then got appointment for the treatment, for which i need to stay there for 15 days. The staffs and the doctors were great and they started teaching me how to take care of my leg, starting from cleaning my legs to tying crepe bandages. The best thing in the treatment is the yoga class, which gives a real relaxation to mind and body. After that they asked me to be on a strict diet for 6 months and my leg is considerably reduced. But the worst thing there is no treatment to cure lymphedema and i've to concentrate my leg each and every second, to notice injuries if any. *************************************
A little bit over a year ago I found out I was 4 weeks pregnant. I had been spotting(light bleeding), but not so much as to wear a pad or tampon, I would use those light day panty liners. I started noticing I would get an awful pain on my left side. It was on the opposite side of the appendix. I went to the hospital to check what it was and it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. The egg didn't make it into my uterus, instead it was stuck in my left tube. So my left tube was removed, and now I have scars from a lacroscpic surgery that was done in order to take the egg/fetus out. *************************************
When my daughter was 5 months old she suddenly developed a huge egg size lump on the side of her neck. The night before and even during breakfast the day I noticed it it was not visible. By 12 noon I had her in the emergency room and they diagnosed a staph infection. Little did I know we would spend the next 10 days in the hospital eventually having surgery to excise the fluid and then gauze packed in having small amount pulled out each day until it healed from the inside out. I'm glad at the time I had no idea about the severity of staph infections. Our daughter is now a happy, healthy, smart, beautiful 6 year old first grader whom we cherish every day we get to spend with her! *************************************
my father is 60 years old he is a sugar patiant . once his sugar level aprocximatily down in the reding in blood only 9 , his body full of sweting and speaking not normaly .doctors are surprised because no one live in blood sugar in 9. doctors very fast and injecting glocose through vine after 2 seconds he is going to normal stage. *************************************
When I was 15 I went to the dentist at a mall. They pulled my abcess tooth and I went home. For 3 days I was still bleeding from the tooth and in pain. After 3 days my tongue started to swell and I had to rush to the hospital. Once there they had to put me on massive doses of antibiotics and initiate surgery to remove infection from my throat. I died in the middle of the surgery for 3 minutes and awoke 5 hours later with my whole family praying over me. When I went to talk I couldn't. I had gotten a trache to save my life. After 2 weeks of breathing through my throat and unable to talk the infection was finally gone. I was very lucky and this changed me forever. What everyone should know is this....if you have an abcess tooth you must have 3 days of antibiotics orally...do not let them give you this by needle or proceed to pull your tooth until that infection is first gone or it can spread through you as it did for me. *************************************
"At the age of ten, I had an injury. I was in gym class and the tests for the day consisted of racing between the boys and girls. All girls were told to line up and the teacher chose sets of ten. Each set of ten raced from one end of the gym to the other; touched the wall; and ran back to the starting point.
The point was to find the fastest girls, and race them to find THE fastest.
After the fastest girl was found (me), the same tests were given to the boys.
After all of this, it was up to me, and the fastest boy to run against each other to test endurance and speed.
Now while watching all the other kids, I had noticed how much time was wasted when they would slow down to touch the wall.
Since running face first into a wall didn't appear to be something anyone was willing to do; they racers would slow down to touch the wall. I figured a way to shave seconds off my time. I would simply hop up, touch the wall with my foot, and turn my body around. Then I would continue running to the finish line.
So this was what I did. However: There was a slight catch.
When I turned my body, the top part of my knee went one way and the bottom part went the other.
This caused a piece of bone in my knee to break off. Now I felt the pain, and felt how the
knee dislocated slightly, but wasn't about to stop and be beat by a boy.
I continued to run and I ran my little heart out. I won the race, and then collapsed. After going to the doctor, they found that I had a severe chip fracture, and required a full leg cast.
I wore the full leg cast for a full summer. Now, the knee is not quite the same, and sometimes it dislocates,
like when I'm swimming, or doing certain movements when working out. Arthritis has settled in that knee as well, making cold weather an issue.

I was visiting family in India a couple summers ago. I wore my contact lenses in Mumbai and had a minor eye irritation. I went to a doctor who prescribed an eye drop. It turns out I was allergic to an ingredient in the eye drops, or according to my physician cousin, I may have had an allergy to an ice cream I had at a relative's place. I was at a local park and had sever swelling all over my body. I spent one scary night at a local hospital's ICU and another in a private room. The ICU experience was frightening - the lights were closed, there was no clock, no guests were allowed, and I couldn't find the button to call a nurse. I cried the whole night but felt silly when compared to the other in the ICU that were dieing and screaming in pain. I was hooked on an IV and was in danger of having a sever throat swelling which could, potentially, lead to death. Thankfully, nothing happened. *************************************
"One of the main incident that I could never forget in my life is the small stone that grew automatically in my right leg when I was young.
At the beginning I did not find any symptoms of a stone that was growing in my leg. At one particular stage I found it grew up well and it is in its final stage for effecting my body condition a lot.
Then my parents called me to surgeon and asked his suggestions. He gave me 15 days of treatment for that stone that is grown automatically. Then finally without doing any surgery, the stone was automatically destroyed within the body itself. I took variety of tests to confirm that I may not get that disease or stone once again.
Until now that did not affect me and hope it will not effect me in future." *************************************
This is the story of my life which became a turning point in my life.It was early during the year of 2008 a few days before i was turning 21 i had just gone for a general check up to my family doctor and i had done quite a few tests and i was diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas, this was the most shocking news that i had ever received in my life which changed my life for the better. After being diagnosed i quit drinking and started taking life way more seriously and with a positive attitude and proper treatment i have fully recovered and am living life to the fullest so don't wait for something like this to hit you but change for the better now. *************************************
When I was really little I had a list of allergies a mile long. My parents had to take me for shots every ten days. As you can imagine, that got old after a while. The doctor took pity on us and taught my father how to administer the shots. From that point forward, my father and I had a somewhat strained relationship. I wasn't very happy about him sticking me with needles and he wasn't very happy about causing me pain. It had to be done so we sucked it up. It really tainted our interactions for many years. *************************************

I was a medical representative. I worked for almost 7 years in a pharmaceutical company. Then the bad thing a happened. Due to continues use of my two wheeler, my disc was prolapsed. The result was severe pain. I was unable to sit and look down. Then i underwent a surgery. After that I rested at my home for almost 3 months. Then due to pressure from my company I restarted my career. Two years went without any problem. but after that it started to occur again. Now I am taking Ayurvedic treatment and resting at my home. Due to this, my income has been stopped, but not my expenses. That is the real life story from me. *************************************

I was at my good friends house when I was 13, we were outside walking barefoot in a pond he had with so much mud in it. I stepped on a rock, my foot slipped and sliced the bottom of my foot open from an unknown object. Broken glass, rusty metal, who knows. I hopped into the house and had his dad wash it out. I was given straight sugar water to relieve the lost blood sugar. fun times. *************************************
During the spring of my eighth grade year, I tore my ACL during a softball game. I was told that I wouldn't play sports my freshmen year, and I was devastated. Sports were my life. I played basketball year round as well as softball and soccer. I had been looking forward to high school sports forever. I had surgery on my ACL that summer. The doctors expected my recovery to take about nine months. With hard work and dedication, I was back on the court in three months. My legs and knees were stronger than they had ever been. I even made varsity as a freshman! *************************************
This is a true medical story that happened to me about 5 years ago. I had a relationship with a certain guy and we were both steady and loe each other so much tme came that he needs to go to a city farther than the place in which I live in. So he went and while he's having his training in a shipping company, we would always talk to each other through our mobile phones daily. And after a few months, situations had been bad. I would call him and he made lots of excuses for not answering the phone like, he's inside the bus and it's too crowded, in the middle of a meeting, he forgot his cellphone at home (where he lives with his aunt), or his cellphone batteries got empty that's why it's off and out f reached. And many more excuses. At that point I even tried calling his friends in the middle of the night and check out where he was, his friends would tell me that they're in a bar, drinking and going wild and with some girls. I always checked him without his knowledge and I got depressed for whta I found out that he's going out and doing something with other girls. I got depressed, I seldom eat, always stay inside my room doing nothing. At the end I tried to drink medications and lots of 'em, hoping the pain would go away. After a few hours, I feel so weak and I hardly breath and I have a weak pulse and a throbbing headache. My parents rushed me to the nearest hospital and the doctor did a gastric lavage which is to remove the medications left in my stomach. She inserted a tube in my nose going down to my stomach and then instill a liguid and then remove the contents of my stomach. The tube was left more than one hour in my body, after that the nurse remove it.I felt a little well after that and the pain had eased. But the emotional pain caused buy a guy takes a long time to fade. *************************************
"I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis at age 22 in 1998. At that time, I was prescribed sulfasalazine which worked for a few months, but even then, I was severely limited in my diet and physical activities. I eventually gave up the sulfasalazine and stopped seeing a doctor altogether. I suffered through the pains and did my best to control the symptoms with a very strict, very limited diet.
In early 2007, I was so weak and, as I later found out, malnourished that my boss at work actually insisted I go to the doctor, so I went to the local walk-in clinic thinking I'd caught the flu - AGAIN. I was severly dehydrated, couldn't keep anything down or in, was repulsed by food and walking from the lobby to the exam room was virtually exhausting. I was quickly introduced to my current doctor and have been seeing her faithfully ever since. She prescribed Asacol and in the last couple of years, I actually feel as if I'm living life - not just floating along! Without a doubt, Asacol not only makes life bearable, but allows me to have a life and enjoy everything that comes my way. I have no side effects either!

The oddest injury I have ever had was when I accidentally cut my finger on the tip of a power washing going at full blast. At first I didn't even realize what happened, but when I looked down at my finger, it was swelled up to three times its size and completely dead white. When I touched it, it was totally numb and felt like a balloon under pressure because the washer had pumped so much water into it. I figured it would just have to drain on its own so I wrapped it in a bandage and went on with my day. However, later that evening, it started to leak out all the water that had been shot up there, and it started literally shooting blood out of the cut. I must have cut a vein, but until then, the swelling had been pinching it closed. I went to the emergency room and they clamped the vein, cleaned everything out, pumped me full of antibiotics, and stitched me up. The doctor said I was lucky it bled so much because it forced me to go to the E.R., because without the antibiotics, it probably would have gotten dangerously infected because the power washer pushed fluid almost all the way up to my elbow!! *************************************

When I was 16 I decided to go into my dad's liquor cabinet and take a few shots of his Bacardi 151.
I remember saying to myself, this is disgusting but the drunk I will get afterwards it totally worth it.
Well I got drunk just like expected and decided to go for a ride on my neighbor's dirt bike. I had never driven one before, I had no helmet, and no permission from my neighbor to ride it. Long story short, I drove it into a tree at about 20 miles per hour. I woke up 2 days later in the ICU with a swollen brain, broken collar bones, sprained neck and back, and everyone other injury you can think of *************************************
This incident happened at the time of my engagement. We had a automobile shop and i used to work physically from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. I happened to look pale yellow and many of my customers who visited my shop advised me to check out jaundice. Also my parents were not with me at that time, they were at native place. After going through medical tests i came to know that blood counts (haemoglobin) were 3.5 ehich should me atleast 12-14 in normal conditions. I was told to take bed rest for 1 month. But the result was very slow. I was started giving iron injections and was given 4 bottles of blood. All these continued for 3-4 months and i was afraid that my engagement will brake down, but nothing such happened and from last 18 years everything is normal. *************************************

I entered inside the opening of lift tunnel . I had a fall in to it. Since it was from ground floor to basement, i had a fracture and dislocation. People admitted me in hospital and doctor given me great treatment by which i am healthy now. But stills marks are there on my face and finger are still weak . Since i am having cervical stenosis due to that incident *************************************

I had a acute appendicitis when I was eleven. Hurt like nothing ever hurt before. From the time I first got sick until the time I went into surgery was less than 24 hours. Surgery was kind of a big deal in 1971. I have a huge scar from the incision. Today, they just poke a hole in you and insert a camera and a blade. Snip, snip and they pull it out through hole. You go home the same day. I was in the hospital almost a week recovering. Had to dress the wound twice a day for two weeks after I came home. I couldn't do anything that entire summer. No swimming, no baseball, no fun. We didn't have cable, the internet or video games, so I read books. Lots of them. *************************************

I am writing this true story about my mother's recent illness. My mother had undergone Hernia surgery before 14 years. Recently she was suffering from stomach pain in one evening around 7 PM. But she informed me after 10 PM that night. I asked my sister to take my mother to the local clinic. The doctor informed that that was just because of Gas trouble in the stomach and he gave medicines. She was able to manage till 3 AM. From then she wasn't able to. Again we took her to another doctor's clinic and he gave some medicines for Indigestion. But from that morning, she suffered from naucea as well. she was not even able to drink water to take the medicines. As a daughter I was frustrated and cried by seeing my mother's sufferings. Everyone was struck and did not know what to do. At that time, I got an information from my relative about a hospital. As soon as possible, we took her to the hospital. They admitted her at once, checked her completely and started the treatment. They gave the medicines to her through injections. After complete treatment and care for about 2 days, she recovered from the stomach pain. Again The doctor informed the same that the problem was because of indigestion and also her late eating habits. After all these struggles, she has now started eating at right time. She is alright and we are happy now. *************************************
I actually fainted three times, because I slipped in the bathtub. I fainted in the bathtub and my sister heard a loud noise, and came rushing into the bathroom to help me out. Then I fainted again as I stepped out of the bathtub, and once more thereafter. It was very odd as If I had lost all consciousness as I awoke, I felt a sudden sharp pain in my back and it made me cry many times. I went to the doctor and told him about the incident. He had stated that injuries to the lower back often result in such forms. The lesson here is always to be careful about your movements, especially in the bathtub. Whoever thought bathing would be such a difficult task? *************************************
I was 18 years old when I really had hard time flushing out my urine. It came to a point that my tummy already had bloated and I felt itchiness and pain in my sex organ. I was bed-ridden but my parents can't send me to hospital because we don't have money so they just medicate me with alternative medicine and prayers. My mom aide me with a concoction of Blumea balsamifera, a herbal plant grown in our backyard. After an hour or two of drinking a glass of it, I felt like I really want to pee. When I pee, there were four tiny stone-like particles and blood with it. When it came out, I felt relief. I rested for a couple of days, and my urinating was normal. *************************************
Once a day i was going with my friend on his bike, suddenly one car driver has taken a wrong cut from red light signal, and we both hit very badly my left leg broken bones and some injury on my face, it was very horrible time for me. "When I was just 15 years old I went in for a routine pap-smear and yearly fun check up. Well all of my life I've had completely irregular periods and horrid cramping so my doctors always kept a close eye on my female regions for cysts or the dreaded 'c' word.
The pap went fine, the exam went swimmingly and I went home. Two weeks later I recieved a phone call instead of the normal ""all clear letter"" and I freaked... It was the big 'C' and I was only 15. Of course I freaked, as any normally happy 15 year-old would do. I even called in sick to work for a couple of days, even though I didn't feel sick. I didn't feel anything, but I had cervical cancer.
Weeks went by before my first doctors appointment. They said that they caught it early and that it was very treatable, but they still wanted me to go through chemo. I was mortified but went along with it. For six months I took the pills, and lost a little hair, and on the seventh month they took the offending piece of cervix. Another three months of chemo and I was 'clean'. I felt sick by that point, sicker than I ever had in my life, but I was cured.
Eleven years and a healthy baby boy later, I still am clean and healthy. I thank my mother each year for making me go to my early well-woman exam." *************************************
I had 5th toe rotation or a hammer toe. Although I paid over $400 a month for health coverage, hammer toe surgery was not covered. I had paid. Hot water or heat pads lessened the pain to the degree that I did not take any medications. Going downhill was difficult as more pressure is on the toes when going downhill. After 5 years, I changed jobs and got different coverage. The hammer toe surgery I had was successful. I feel I've drank from the fountain of youth. *************************************
"I wanted to tell you all about my experience. Recently I had a dental problem. As I'm new to Bangalore I had no idea where to go, I drove around HRBR area.. Found this Big Banner about a Dental clinic. I thought I'll have my check up there. I went ..they said my tooth had fractured and needed root canal etc. the clinic had names of 5 or 6 doctors name. their Degrees not put just written as cosmetic sugeon, endodontist..some such names.. there were two doctors in their early 20s. they said i needed to come for 3 or 4 sittings well i agreed.
the next day was my root canal. A visiting doctor did it.. This was my first root canal treatment anyways I was happy with what he did. The following day was my follow up where they will file the tooth and prepare for a tooth cap. This was done by the regular Doctor I saw first.
He was exteremely clumsy.. with his instruments.. he was droping them somany times in my mouth.. I was getting nervous.. where have I landed.. he started drilling filing..then at the middle of it..he realizes..some other instrument is missing.. he leaves me on the seat..walks around with the sterile gloves on into the other rooms. opening. drawers.. etc.. I was shocked..at what he is upto..he seemed so casual about...it as ..if.. we search for something while..cooking.. I in my dispair asked him..if this is the first time..he is attending to a patient.. he was calling himself.. a specialist.. He became angry when I questioned him.. But I felt it was my right to ask him why he was casual..about it . Instead of taking it positively he took it negatively..
Later even i felt should I not have questioned him ...as my tooth problem has not yet solved either.. but somehow..here people compromise on cleanlines.. may be when we return to India we expect a liitle more.. please comment if I was wrong or right
after that. I asked him to stop.. and i left the place.. now i'm on a search for another better dentist.. hope i find one..
I'm just curious.. does the govt here check before giving permission to start clinics.. how can one not write his degrees and just say orthdontist. cosmetic sugeons..and what not.. It looked like a spa.. very neatly designed..but i doubt if they were serious professionals.. A bunch of yougsters.. playing more with the decor rather than their work to speak for them.

it is about one of my friend and it happened in Feb 2006.she woke up with a weird feeling in her head. But it soon progressed to a dizzy feeling. She went to an ent because she thought it was her ear.Tubes later no help, they told her to live with it,they couldn't help.So she went to many nurologists first they said she had m.a.v. migraine associated vertigo. She got no better, went to a tmj guy,he almost killed her. She carried on like a trooper, until the terrible fatigue came on, just a few days, then a few more days, and now it is everyday non-stop! Then if that was not bad enough she now has debilatating muscle aches in her hips, thighs, calfs, and even her toes. She is also suffering from a cold numb feeling in her calfs. She has gone to a vasscular DR. nothing, nurologist, nothing. She has been to countless E.R.hospitals,therapists,yes she even thought maybe it was stress causing all these symptoms. Finally one Dr. suggested to do a b12 serum test, the test came back she was low 220. Finally something showed to abnormal, so the suggested her reciving b12 injections. She began the injections right away, but unfortunatly no one including her Dr. informed her about the potassium depletion that can occur. She had to find that out by reading your book. We had a question, when she went in for the potassium they took a b12 serum again and only after 2 injections it showed up a 1266. Is this normal? how can that be so high after only 2 injections? We are struggling with alot of questions, no Dr.'s she has been to know anything about b12 defficeny. They keep telling her it is stress, that is crazy. She needs help could you give us some insight, she has all the symptoms in your book, but no one will take her seriously . She has a little boy who needs his mother back. *************************************

"Our son was not feeling good and running a slight fever. He was not able to go to the bathroom that day. Close to bed time he threw up a dark greenish substance. Upon calling a doctor friend, he said the appendix could be infected, and we should head to the emergency room.
We are glad we did. After a x-ray determined the appendix was highly infected. By the time the surgery happened he was in incredible pain. The surgery showed the appendix was leaking and ready to burst. We are feeling very blessed we went in, and that we did not wait." *************************************

I am going to write about a true incident in my life.I was continuously having pain on my left side which was radiating.Neither could I sleep nor sit properly. After consulting my orthopedic surgeon who advised me to take complete bed rest with no forward bending and squatting I started feeling low lying on the bed. I was advised MRI of spine which came out to be normal. In the mean time I had multiple furunculosis which affected my left side only. The pain was severe and excruciating and I was writhing with pain.I consulted a skin specialist who advised me a dose of antibiotics for 8 days and a skin ointment to be applied on the affected area. Finally after 2 months of suffering I was free from pain and am leading a healthy life. *************************************
"An interesting medical story was about seven years ago for me. One morning on my way to work, I felt like I couldn't breathe and like I was going to pass out. I was rushed to the emergency room and was administered drugs. ""My God, I am going to die"", I thought. After about an hour of a battery of tests, one of the nurses came into the room to speak to me. Not only did she ask me if I had a living will, but she also asked me if I was under a large amount of stress. Puzzled, I answered ""yes"". ""Are I going to die"", I asked. ""Oh, no. These are standard questions we ask"", she said. ""It looks like you are having an anxiety attack"". That's all it was. WOW! Shocked, I thought now what?
I researched what exactly panic attacks are and how they manifest themselves within the body. I discovered it was all in the way I was thinking about things. It was a behavior issue, not a going crazy issue. Learning new alternative methods to control my stress and daily anxiety levels, I have found that prescriptions were no longer needed. In fact, since the inital attack, I have learned to demonstate a more positive attitude and a greater sense of well being.
Moral of the story: Take it from me, you can overcome the symptoms and sensations of panic disorder. Be couragous and strong, and you will persevere." *************************************

When I was in the third grade I found a new hobby: jumping off things. One day I decided to jump down a 10+ foot wall while we were waiting for the bus to leave. The second time I jumped all my body weight fell straight on my right foot and broke it right through the middle. *************************************
Once, my mother and grandma went for shopping. There my grandma slipped and feel down. she fell down so badly that her hip-bone was broken into 5 parts. She was rushed to a near-by hospital. The doctors told us that her case was so serious that she will not be able to even sit in her remaining life. We were very disappointed. One of my father's friend suggested us to go to the specialist he knew very well. We went there for her treatment. That doctor promised us that after the operation she will not even be able to sit but also walk properly. The next day was her operation, and after only 24 hours of the operation she was walking! It was a moment of great joy for us... *************************************

"In 1993 while on a motorcycle trip with friends, I struck a deer with my motorcycle. The deer was in the road in front of me as I rounded a curve. The deer appeared to move towards the other side of the road, but it turned at the last second and struck the front of the bike, and its body swung around on my left, striking me in the lower leg. As if by a miracle, I was able to keep the motorcyle from hitting the pavement, and my bike skidded from side to side then coasted to a stop. I knew I was injured, and after the bike stopped, I put my right foot down to steady the bike looked down on my left, and saw a bone protruding from my lower leg through my jeans. It really did not hurt until my friend helpme off the bike and the bone slid back inside my leg. A passerby who was on the way to a wedding stopped and asked if we needed help, and then went to a farmers house to call the ambulance. This guy then comes back to tell us help is on the way, and he is dressed in a tuxcedo. He asked if we wanted the deer, and of course we did not. So the opens the trunk of his car and puts the deer in the trunk.
The recovery of my leg took 6 months. That started with the ambulance ride to the nearest hospital. They put an inflatable splint on my leg during the ride to the hospital. The splint had a leak in it so went it went flat, my leg hurt like crazy. Once at the hospital, they told me it would be better to go to my home town to get the leg cleaned and set so the same doctor could do all the repairs. So My sister drove 13 hours to get me in her van so I would not have to lay in an amblance for the entire ride back. Once back home the doctors cleaned my wound, and placed an external fixater on my leg to try to get it to set which did not work, and all I had after 6 weeks of time was buildup of fibrous tissue where the leg shoud have set. Next they took me in for more surgery where they removed the fibrous tissue, repinned my bones, and took bone tissue from my hip to get the bones to mend. I finally waled again almost 6 months from the time the accident happened." *************************************
hey guys....i had an accident from bike. after the accident i was ok just had some minor scratches in leg. after a month when i was completely ok i started to feel some pain in the back. i thought it just might be some minor problem. but after a week the pain grew such that i was not able to walk or sit. then i consulted some ortho doctor he said that its a disc overlap and nothing much can be done. there is a major operation but that too is very risky as it may lead to some infection afterward. i was doing some physio stuff n all but it hardly sustained a month. then in India there is practice called Ayurveda. i heard that n took an appointment to some saint like guy. it was miracle u know he just applied n made so some yoga again with his thumb he applied some pressure then i was not feeling pain. then i took MRI it showed that there was no problem *************************************

I COMPLETED MY EXAMS AND WHEN I REACHED HOMETOWN MY FRIENDS TOLD ME THAT MY DAD DIDN'T REPORT ABOUT HIS DISEASE TO ANYONE SO THAT HE DOESN'T WANT TO GET ANY SYMPATHY FROM THEM. AS HE WAS WORKING AS AN INSURANCE OFFICER , HE DIDN'T TOOK A POLICY OF HEALTH FOR HIMSELF. I WAS NEAR TO HIM WHEN HE LEAVED US BEHIND AND WENT TO GOD'S LEFT SIDE .HE SHOWED US THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE A DEPENDENT TO OTHERS FOR DOING DAILY ROUTINES AND HE HAD GIVEN US GOOD EDUCATION TO STAND ON OUR OWN LEGS SO THAT WE CAN SHOW THE WORLD THAT MY DAD WAS A GREAT MAN." *************************************
"Year 2000, my mother suffers a small stroke in the bathroon of our house. She is taken to hospital and on the first day we stay all day waiting for some news of what was going on, we were given information that after a few basic tests my mother had suffered a TIA which is a very small stroke.
She was so worried whilst waiting in the bed that she would die and yet this was only a small stroke, not enough to kill her.
Day two, we are in hospital all day yet again and mum has undergone a little furthur testing, this time the stroke thta she suffered seems to have increased larger in size and by the third day my mum found out she had a brain tumour the size of an orange upon the back lobel of her brain.
Heard by the doctor stating her condition over the phone to another doctor my mother asked to see the person whom had just stated these words......'yes a brain tumour'.... she quivered as she spoke to her and then in the afternoon told me as I went to visit her.
My mother had to stay in hospital for 2 months before she was transferred to an excellent neurosurgery ward where she underwent a 9 hour operation to remove the tumour. A tumour that 20 years ago would had killed her and indeed did kill her cousin of an tumour in exactly the same position.
She gained consciouness soon after and the weeks and days that followed she regained the use of her legs and learnt to walk again, prepare food again and is now fit, healthy and well.
The common ignorance is of people who suffer with brain tumours that they will either die or become trapped within a vegetative state this however is not true, and 90% of patients now survive this type of illness. " *************************************
I was hospitalized for pancreatitis for three days and they were the most annoying days of my life. They wanted to find out what was further wrong with me so they didn't feed me solid for three days. I started to go mad with hunger as I would hear that food cart rolling past my bed side every day. I had an ultra sound, cat scan, and blood work done for three day and they could not figure out what was wrong. They finally decided to let me leave the hospital, but I was visited by the most scariest thing in the hospital and that was the billing lady. She ask me if i could afford my bill and a bunch of question until I told her to leave. I'm better now, but it still bothers me the treatment that i received at the hospital by everyone for the price i paid. *************************************

"The Trouble with Hospitalists:
Searing pain in my abdomen and back sent me to the emergency room. After several tests and a sonogram, I was told my gall bladder had to be removed immediately. A surgeon arrived and informed me that he was now my doctor. I kept asking the ER staff to contact my family physician for guidance. I was in too much pain to recall all the prescriptions I was taking. Further, I wanted to know what my choices were. I wanted to choose among the available surgeons. I wanted to know who my family doctor would recommend.
The ER staff explained that a hospitalist would be taking care of me. I had no clue what a hospitalist was and I was in no mood to take a short course on the concept. I was admitted to the hospital, and ended up phoning my long time physician from the hospital bed!! Theoretically, she could not participate in my care, but she did advise me and help me choose a surgeon, and she talked to the nurses on the floor about my prescriptions although (theoretically) they were not supposed to be accepting any input from her.
This new disruption of the physician-patient relationship must be stopped. That would be important health care reform." *************************************
" there are 2 medical stories I would tell you about.
When i was little my scalp started to itch and kept scratching
until one night I asked my mom to look on my scalp to see what was itching me
She gasped and said I see it's a little bit red hair is coming out
I am going to take you to the dematologist tomorrow.
so when i went he said it was a ring worm
and for my mom to shave a little part of my scalp where the ring worm was and put that medicine
i don't know how many days i had to put that stuff but I know it was at least two weeks
it may have been more that that but I don't remember
but interestingly when my hair on top where it was shaved started growing out
it started growing out curly to where my whole hair was a big fluff to this day my hair is wavy now and my sisters hair is wavy too
but I think it comes from my father because my mom said his hair is wavy I diidnt know because he kept his hair short
it might of came out because it just spurted out the gene lol I dont know
Another story was when I was on my way to mexico with my sisters, my mom and my daughter and started coughing
and at the airport i was telling my mom that i dont' know why I waas coughing so much and she said oh it's just nerves.
so i went on to mexico and coughed for two weeks I ffelt phlem in my chest
when i came back home, the next day I caught the flu and it was a pretty bad flu too
I must have caught the flu at home just developed whn i got home
I had chills and fever for days
didn't go to the doctor though
to this day i can still feel and hear the phlem in my lungs when i breathe real hard I wheeze

"Hello fellow women seniors-is your cholesterol level a problem? Mine was fine for my age (early 60's), then one visit my doctor said ""your LDL (""bad"" cholesterol) is at 100 which is borderline. Watch your diet and do exercise"". This was very disconcerting to me because I WAS watching my diet and exercising. I did not want to take cholesterol medication if I could avoid it. So for the next 3 months I was extremely strict on myself. I was a ninja for saturated fats. Everything I put in my mouth had to be saturated and trans fat free or virtually free. I exercised more regularly. I ate a balanced diet and lost 7 pounds. When I returned to the doctor and got my next blood test, I expected him to experience shock and awe at my magnificent cholesterol readings. I was the one shocked to find out that my LDL had gone UP to 127! The doctor told me to watch my diet and exercise, but I was in despair-what more could I do? It seemed to me I had already put myself on the most cholesterol/saturated fat/low calorie diet imaginable short of not eating at all.
Well, as a ""by the way"" thing my doctor said my thyroid levels were a little off and upped my levothyroxin. The next check up, my cholesterol was back down to 100 LDL and my HDL and gone up a couple points.
I did a little online research and learned that hypothyroidism in women can cause elevated cholesterol! I am sure diet and exercise helped, but any woman who is having problems with her cholesterol level should make sure the M.D. has checked her thyroid function. Some studies published online indicated women my age group need to have thyroid under very tight control. The TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) level should be even lower than the norm for older women. I give most of the credit for reduction of my cholesterol to the increase in my medication. My doctor did not seem to be aware of the possible relationship between hypothyroidism and cholesterol. " *************************************
When I was nine years old I was skateboarding and it was on a homemade skateboard that had a long nail holding in the back wheels. Well the wheels stopped suddenly, I went flying into our barn, and came crashing down. My sister ran for my mother and she drove down to get me. I was quite the hypochondriac in those days so she said "get in, there's nothing wrong with you". We went into the house where she proceeded to put Noxema on my leg telling me that if it stopped hurting, then it was truly broken and we could go get a cast. Remember she thought I was making it up. Well, when I kept wailing, she loaded me into the car and to the hospital where the doctor pronounced that I had broken my leg in two places and shattered my wrist as well. He wasn't too happy about the Noxema! *************************************
Before my foot surgery, family and friends filled my head with all kinds of "horror" stories that happened to them or someone they knew. So I decided I should give the doctor a little visual hint, not because I didn't trust him but only as only a reminder. The morning of the surgery he came in to go over the procedure and noticed the big black "X" marked on my left foot. Before he had a chance to ask what that was for, I volunteered...."I just wanted to remind you it was the left foot that needed repaired"! We boh had a good laugh and the surgery went fine. *************************************
I once got a huge splinter in my foot. I couldn't remove it myself, so I went to the doctor to remove it. They injected my foot 5 times with numbing medicine, and those injections hurt more than the removal of the splinter, which was still painful anyway! *************************************
Last winter, it was terribly freezing outside and I got really cold waiting for the bus. When I came back home I quickly went to my bathroom to have a warm bath. After about 5 minutes in the hot water I got some red spots on my belly. I quickly went out of water but the rash was still on me. The spots were about 3 centimeters long and along both sides of my belly and also thighs. I went to dermatologist, but she didn't know what is the reason. It could be some cosmetics I used for bath or more likely it was hot water. My body was cold and when I went to hot water it happened. The rash was itching and i couldn't pt on my clothes on. I got some ointment and after five days the rash was gone. *************************************
It was a Monday, my son & his wife went to work. I was in AKL., N.Z., as usual, after their departure to work, I started attending the household works, such as washing the clothes, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning up the garden etc. While, putting the clothes on the robe, provided, I had a fall, I lay there alone, as there was no help from anyone. I could not call up anyone as the neighbours also are batchelors, they do leave home by 8.00 a.m. i managed to get up slowly and called up my son. He called up one of his friends living close by, for help, he immediately came and took me to >AC>C>. The full check up ended by a major surgeory of breaking the knee-cap and cartilage. This is a funny thing for me when no one was there to help me, the GOd provided me some help immediately.I was operatedupon for the knee, and now, i do walk myself without any help, do attend lot of jobs. *************************************
I am 69 years old so when I began getting dizzy spells, I thought it was just age related. Falling over on the kitchen floor sent me to the doctor. She ordered a glucose tolerance test which involves six blood tests, one hour apart. By the fourth one, they stopped the test. Turned out that my blood sugar went way down and caused these symptoms. Now, I just have to make sure to eat breakfast and light meals with snacks in between. Very easy for me. Just have to watch my diet. *************************************
Almost one year back i fell ill and for consultation i went to my family doctor. after few tests he provided some medicines to me as he declared fever due to changing climate., after having the does i went to my office as usual. Every morning after having medicines i felt ok but in night fever again comes with high shivering and cold. This continues for 15 days and day comes when i was not having enough energy to go to my office, again I went to same doctor. and he gave few more medicine. But for cross checkup i consulted to some other doctor also, and after having blood test it was surprising for me that i was suffering from Typhoid and it was in crucial stage. And it took around 1 month to get ruptured to my original condition. So from same day I decided to consult only to those doctors who conclude on basis of test not on basis of their experience *************************************
I have a bleeding disorder called "Hemophilia." To treat internal bleeding episodes, I have to start an IV on myself, and inject "Factor 8" the protien my blood is missing. It is a simple, mix the sterile water into the powder and mix. Simple, but lab techs who were supposed to give the me shot, didn't know how to do it! We were at a Hemophilia Treatment Center! So my parents and I had to teach them how...lol. It was crazy. *************************************
"Three years ago, when I was taking food to my child I felt slipped and I stand my
left hand to the floor. Then only I realise that the water is spreading in the floor by
my child. After that one or two days I feel normal, then that my hands become painful and at night my hands become swelled then in the morning I went to hospital and he says your hands bone is broke in a little manner and you have to operate it. That time I never forget in my life. Now I am normal but the scar did not disappear." *************************************

I worked for then for the annual meet conference.
It was a great experience because i interact with somany cardiologists.
I saw a live cardi operation with them in the conference hall screen.I will never forget that in my life.

"Please if you don't like, don't pay me, I am sharing the exact incident happened to me in my life.
When I was doing my Bachelors in CSE., 2004, I bought a new Activa Black Bike which was gifted by my dad.
One day our friends we all planned to go for outing by riding their own bikes,
so totally in 3 bikes we all went and had a nice fun and while returning,
I met with a big accident with a full load of lorry, I was about to die on the spot, and the lorry guy he ran away,
surrounding people immediately took me and my friends to the hospital and I was in the hospital for more than 2months
and IC unit of 15 days and all my friends are safe with god's grace but only my two hands got fractured,
but as of now iam fine and happy. Thankyou for sharing my incident. "

I was involved in a bike-to car-accident about 3 years ago in the summer. I was wearing a helmet, so luckily I had a hematoma removed in the hospital from a brain surgeon. I was riding down a familiar quiet neighborhood with no residential stop signs when I crossed the intersection at the exact moment the car entered and I did a back flip over the car landing on the opposite sidewalk on my back. We both had no sight line of each other to to 8 foot hedges that were growing along the sidewalk. I was immediately rushed to the hospital by ambulance, though unconscious, and prepped for surgery. When I woke up I was screaming in pain and was subdued by strong narcotics which I took routinely for the next 2 years for constant headaches and migraines. Unfortunately, all my suffering was for none, because the lady sued us for the speed at which I was going[not very fast] and she got off scotch-free. Meanwhile, we are left with 15,000 dollars in medical bills, the injustice!! For the record: It was a nobody's fault, 50-50 case from the beginning but she had a good lawyer; while we had a bad lawyer_ short story long....... we got screwed! *************************************
"We are a couple married past 6 yrs. We have been trying to have a baby past 1.5-2 yrs. My sperm count is low. We visited BACC in Bangalore. With a very few tests and no counselling, they suggested IUI. The whole IUI process - Ultrasounds, Injections, IUI itself costed us Rs.10,000. BACC is a money making clinic. Please avoid it. The Doctors are unknowledgeble, unhelping and the facility is unhygenic. When my wife went for her ultrasounds daily for almost 10 days, she noticed that the bed sheets were not being changed at all. She had to meet the Director to get the sheets changed. Needless to say, the IUI was unsuccessful inspite of the pain and trouble both emotional and financial.
Then we visited Gunasheela Nursing Home in Basavanagudi. Our experience there has been very very good. The doctors conducted preliminary tests on my wife and Dr.Devika had a counseling session with us where she advised us to be calm and patient and not hurry with anything. We wanted to go for 2nd IUI cycle but she advised against it till further tests. I would advise ppl looking forinfertility treatment to visit this hospital. The facilities and doctors are good. I wanted to share this exp with all so that ppl dont lose time and money in visiting clinics like BACC which only want your money and dont care if youhave a baby or not.
Best of Luck. Hope I will have some good news to share with you in the coming months
